A Timeless Cotton Raincoat in the World’s Finest Outerwear Fabric

This Ventile® unlined mac is a modern interpretation of a classic raincoat, made from what is widely regarded as the finest outerwear cotton in the world.

The outer shell is cut from Ventile® 100% cotton, a densely woven, natural fabric originally developed for extreme conditions. Naturally windproof, highly water-resistant, and breathable, Ventile offers protection from the elements without synthetic membranes or coatings. The mac is available in a choice of 20 colours, allowing the design to be tailored to both taste and setting.

Internally, the coat is exquisitely finished using French seam construction, leaving the inside as clean and refined as the exterior. This attention to internal detail not only improves comfort and durability but reflects the care taken in its making.

The silhouette is intentionally versatile. We can make the mac to your preferred length, whether full length, just below the knee, or slightly above it, ensuring the proportions feel right for you. A single rear vent allows ease of movement while maintaining the coat’s clean, elegant line.

As standard, the mac is supplied unlined, making it ideal for spring, summer, and transitional wear. However, at checkout there is the option to have internal buttons fitted, allowing for the addition of a removable lining. Lining options include Ventile® cotton or heavier choices such as tweed or loden, enabling the coat to adapt easily to cooler conditions while remaining seasonally flexible. You can choose this option if you prefer at checkout, and if you choose the Tweed/Loden option please email us after you have ordered so we can send you a selection of colours and checks available depending upon your choice of outer.

As with all our garments, this mac is made by us in the UK, cut and assembled individually with the option for subtle adjustments to suit your requirements.
