A Modern Travel Jacket Rooted in French Sporting Heritage

The Blake has become a mainstay of our collection — valued for its versatility, character, and ease of wear. While it exists as an Autumn/Winter garment, this version is reimagined as a beautifully light, unlined Spring/Summer jacket, cut from 100% linen woven by Solbiati.

The design is modelled on an original 1950s French hunting jacket, retaining its practicality while refining the cut for modern use. The result is a jacket that feels purposeful yet relaxed — equally at home travelling, walking, or worn daily through warmer months.

Solbiati Linen

The linen itself is exceptional. Woven from high-quality flax fibres and washed twice before delivery, it has a distinctive texture and depth that is immediately visible in the cloth. Quite frankly, there is no other linen in the world that comes anywhere near how good their linen is, hence the price.

This washing process softens the fabric, enhances drape, and gives the jacket a lived-in feel from the outset — while retaining the strength and durability Solbiati linen is known for. It is a linen designed to wear well, travel well, and age beautifully.

Construction & Finish

The Blake is fully unlined, keeping it cool and breathable, and is constructed using a French seam method, leaving the interior exceptionally clean and refined to the eye.

This approach improves comfort while reflecting the care taken in its making.

Pockets & Practicality

• Four large lower outer pockets
• A smaller upper pocket ideal for a phone
• A rear double-opening “game” pocket (now perfect for maps, gloves, or travel essentials)
• An internal zipped security pocket for valuables

The jacket is finished with corozo nut buttons, supplied by Courtney Buttons in England, chosen for their durability and natural character.

Made in England

Available in a wide range of colours (selectable from the dropdown menu), the Blake can be adapted easily to personal taste.

As with everything we make, the jacket is entirely handcrafted by us in the UK, from pattern cutting through to final finishing.
