The Prufrock is a beautifully made merino wool tweed trouser, tailored for those who appreciate traditional cloth, refined finish and lasting comfort. Elegant, versatile and deeply practical, it is a trouser designed for country wear, city wear and everyday winter dressing alike.

Available in a wide choice of tweed checks, the Prufrock can be made in either a classic fit or a jeans fit, and may also be ordered made to measure for a more precise and personal fit. Each pair is handmade with careful attention to detail, giving the trouser the character and quality of true bespoke-inspired craftsmanship.

For comfort and ease of wear, the trouser is lined in pure silk to just below the knee. We source this silk from the renowned Italian mill Pezzetti, adding a luxurious interior feel while helping the trouser sit and move beautifully in use. The internal pockets are fully bound and made from brushed cotton, creating a pleasing contrast with the tweed and a clean, durable finish inside.

The Prufrock features a sturdy zip fly, double belt loops and neatly considered finishing throughout. The hem can be supplied unfinished for your own tailoring, or finished to your required length.

The cloth options include a range of superb tweeds from Lovat Mill. Depending on your preference, the trouser can be made in lighter or heavier qualities suited to different levels of warmth, structure and use.

Teviot Tweed combines worsted merino yarns with fine cheviot woollen spun yarns to create a light yet robust tweed suitable for medium use and day wear. This cloth weighs approximately 13–14oz (430g).

Kirkton Tweed is a single cheviot cloth known for its rich colour mixtures, bold designs and crisp handle. At around 16oz (500g), it is robust, versatile and highly practical.

Ettrick Tweed is the heaviest option, long favoured by field sports enthusiasts for its dense weave, rich colouring and excellent performance in harder use. It weighs approximately 21oz (640g) and is woven from the highest quality wools.

The Prufrock can be ordered with a classic waist and with either a flat-front or pleated-front style, allowing you to choose the silhouette that best suits your taste and wardrobe.
