This T-shirt is made from West Indian Sea Island Cotton, widely regarded as the finest cotton fibre in the world. West Indian Sea Island Cotton is often described as the Rolls-Royce of cottons. It is the longest and finest cotton fibre in existence, with staple lengths exceeding 50mm, giving it an exceptional combination of silken softness, strength, and durability that no ordinary cotton can match.

This cotton flourishes only under very specific conditions — the hot Caribbean sun, mineral-rich soils, and careful cultivation — primarily in Barbados and Jamaica. It is hand-picked, without chemical defoliants, and processed with extreme care to preserve fibre integrity. The result is a cotton prized worldwide for its natural sheen, extraordinary softness, and longevity.

As recognised by the custodians of the fibre itself, including the West Indian Sea Island Cotton Association, genuine Sea Island cotton represents a tiny fraction of global cotton production. It is rare by nature, not by branding.

What we are not doing is producing cheap T-shirts in low-cost labour environments and shipping them halfway around the world. Instead, we buy the best cotton available anywhere and apply our own skills to making these T-shirts entirely in our workshop in England.
