A lighter, spring–summer take on our classic waxed jacket — made to keep you dry without the bulk

The Hotspur is the lightweight version of our classic Robin Hood wax jacket, designed for those days when it isn’t that cold, but you still want dependable protection from wind and rain. Cut in a classic, relaxed silhouette, it works beautifully as an everyday jacket and is particularly good worn over a suit when a heavier wax jacket would feel too warm.

Fabric & Performance

Made from lightweight 4oz waxed cotton with a soft two-ply cotton lining, the Hotspur is breathable, comfortable, and easy to wear for long periods. The lining fabric is treated with a CFC-free water-repellent finish, helping the jacket perform well in spring and summer showers.

It is ideal for around 10°C to 5°C and is designed to keep you dry in showers for up to approximately 3 hours, depending on conditions.

Cloth & Craft

We source our waxed cotton from Halley Stevensons of Dundee, and as with everything we make, we cut and sew the Hotspur ourselves in the UK. If you’d like any custom alterations, simply mention them when ordering.
