The Robin Hood is a serious leather jacket — designed, sourced, and made without compromise. It is built around materials and construction choices that exist for one reason only: to create a jacket that will last a lifetime and improve with age.

The outer shell is cut from a full-grain, vegetable-tanned cowhide, sourced from specialist tanneries in Italy. This is an oily, naturally finished leather, chosen for its strength, depth, and ability to age beautifully rather than deteriorate. At approximately 1mm thick, the hide has a reassuring weight and substance, giving the jacket the unmistakable feel of a solid, rugged leather garment — not a lightweight fashion interpretation.

This quality of leather is one of the key elements that separates an expensive jacket from an ordinary one. Full-grain, vegetable-tanned hides retain the integrity of the fibre structure, allowing the leather to develop character, patina, and softness over time while remaining exceptionally durable.

Inside, the jacket is lined with Ventile® cotton, widely regarded as the finest cotton fabric in the world for weather protection. Densely woven and naturally breathable, Ventile adds an additional layer of wind and rain resistance while remaining comfortable in wear. It’s an unusual and deliberate choice for a leather jacket — one that reinforces the Robin Hood’s role as functional outerwear, not just a statement piece.

The defining luxury feature of the jacket is its button-in, button-out bodywarmer, made from authentic Austrian Merino Wool Loden sourced from Leichtfried. This Loden is composed of 80% Merino wool and 20% alpaca, widely considered the most luxurious and authentic quality of Loden available. Naturally insulating, breathable, and quiet in wear, it allows the jacket to adapt easily across seasons.

With the liner removed, the Robin Hood becomes a refined leather jacket suitable for milder conditions. With it fitted, it transforms into a deeply warm, protective garment capable of handling cold weather with ease — all without synthetic insulation.

As with everything we do, the Robin Hood is made entirely by us in our workshop in the UK, from pattern cutting through to final assembly. Nothing is outsourced, and nothing is rushed.
