The Prufrock Deluxe' Tweed Field Coat - Ventile lined

The Prufrock Deluxe is a best-in-class luxury tweed field coat, combining traditional British country style with an unusually high level of material quality, tailoring and natural-weather performance.

Made from 2-ply merino wool tweed woven by Lovat Mill of Scotland, this coat is available in a wide range of beautifully developed tweeds, allowing you to choose the cloth that best suits your taste. Each coat is cut and made by us, and because we control the making ourselves, modifications can be made to suit individual requirements, including fit details such as sleeve length and collar preference.

The lining is made from waterproof 100% cotton Ventile, giving the coat dependable weather protection without resorting to the plastic-based membranes commonly found in most field coats. This keeps the Prufrock Deluxe closer to the values of true natural-fibre outerwear while also offering breathability, comfort and practical performance in wet conditions.

The leather trim is French cowbelly from Tanneries Pechdo of France, chosen for its durability, richness and beautiful finish. For those who prefer, a wool collar can also be specified. Throughout the coat, checks are carefully and properly matched, while selected areas are canvas fused using three different types of canvas to give the garment a crisp, clean and highly refined structure.

Fastening is equally considered. The front zip is a substantial size 10 antique brass Riri zip from Switzerland, specially made for this garment rather than using the more common standard size 8 zip. It is paired with a reassuringly heavy brass snap fastening, adding both security and a sense of lasting quality.
