Ventile Mac Unlined

The Ventile Mac Unlined is a refined interpretation of the classic raincoat, made for those who want timeless style, natural performance and exceptional British craftsmanship in one quietly luxurious garment.

Cut from genuine 100% cotton Ventile, this coat is made using one of the finest outerwear fabrics in the world. Originally developed for extreme conditions, Ventile is densely woven to provide outstanding natural protection from wind and rain while remaining breathable and comfortable to wear. Unlike many modern technical fabrics, it achieves this without synthetic membranes or plastic coatings, preserving the integrity and character of natural-fibre outerwear.

The unlined construction gives the coat a lighter, more versatile feel, making it especially well suited to spring, summer and transitional weather. It drapes cleanly, wears easily, and offers the understated elegance that defines a truly useful mac. Internally, the coat is beautifully finished with French seams, giving the inside the same neat, considered appearance as the exterior while improving comfort and durability over time.

The silhouette is deliberately flexible and can be made to your preferred length, whether just above the knee, below the knee or longer towards the calf. A single rear vent provides ease of movement while preserving the mac’s clean, classic line.

For greater seasonal versatility, the coat can also be ordered with internal buttons to take a removable lining. Optional button-in linings include Ventile cotton, Scottish merino tweed or Austrian Himalaya wool-alpaca Loden, allowing the mac to move easily from lightweight raincoat to a warmer outer coat for colder months.

As with all English Utopia garments, each Ventile Mac is cut and made individually by us in the UK. This allows for a more personal level of finish, subtle custom adjustments where needed, and a coat that feels made with care rather than mass produced.
