Ventile Stormy Jacket

The Ventile Stormy Jacket is a serious all-weather outer layer, designed for those who want exceptional natural performance, practical storage and true British-made craftsmanship in a clean, wearable shorter-length style.

Made from two layers of genuine 2-ply Swiss Ventile cotton, this jacket offers outstanding protection from wind and rain while remaining highly breathable and comfortable to wear. Ventile is widely regarded as one of the finest natural outerwear fabrics in the world, prized for its dense weave, durability and ability to perform in demanding conditions without relying on synthetic membranes.

The Stormy is cut slightly shorter than some of our other outerwear styles, with a standard back length of 30 inches or 76cm. This gives it a more versatile, active feel while still providing excellent coverage. Because we make everything ourselves, the length can also be adjusted if you like the style but would prefer a longer version.

Functionality is central to the design. The jacket features four generous outer pockets and a further four internal pockets, giving it the storage capacity and usefulness expected of a true field and outdoor jacket. The collar is made in matching Ventile as standard, though corduroy or leather can be specified if preferred for a more individual finish.

For added warmth in colder conditions, the Stormy can also be enhanced with optional insulation. Lavalan merino wool insulation is available for those who want a fully natural-fibre layer of extra warmth, while pure goose down insulation offers even greater thermal performance for extreme cold-weather use.

The result is a jacket that is rugged, breathable and highly adaptable, capable of moving from everyday outdoor wear to much more demanding winter conditions depending on the specification you choose.
