Asrai Double Linen Travel Jacket

The Asrai Double Linen is designed first and foremost as a women’s travel jacket — lightweight, breathable, and quietly luxurious — yet it is also available in a men’s version. Cut from two layers of Irish linen (outer and lining), each cloth is pre-washed to create a softened handle and that distinctive lived-in depth you only get from great linen.

A key part of the appeal is the ability to mix and match the outer and lining colours to create your own combination. It’s a jacket that feels personal from the outset — made to be worn hard, packed, travelled with, and enjoyed for years.

Season & Use

This is an exceptionally versatile piece, ideal from February through to the end of September. And if you’re lucky enough to travel to warmer climates in winter, it becomes the perfect companion — easy to throw on, comfortable in motion, and naturally breathable in changing temperatures.

Made in England, Woven in Ulster

As with all English Utopia garments, the Asrai is cut and made by us. The Irish linen is supplied by Spence Bryson, who continue to weave at their mill in Ulster, Northern Ireland — a rare source of true heritage linen with outstanding character and longevity.

Asrai are shy, aquatic fairies from English folklore — pale, female beings said to live in lakes and rivers, surfacing only once a century to bathe in moonlight. If captured, they melt into a puddle of water.
