An unlined, 100% cotton rainproof coat with a detachable hood — designed for lightweight protection and everyday versatility.

There is also the option to add a removable zip-in cotton lining made from the same fabric. This allows the coat to adapt across seasons, offering additional warmth when required. Please see the drop-down menu if you would like to select this option.

Fabric & Performance

The two-ply cotton is supplied by Halley Stevensons of Scotland and woven using U.S.-grown Pima cotton yarn. The cloth is densely woven, creating an ideal lightweight raincoat fabric with natural water-resistant properties.

Until recently, we offered this jacket with what we believed to be an eco-friendly spray finish in addition to the fabric’s inherent weather resistance. However, further investigation revealed that even so-called eco treatments may have questionable environmental origins and potential toxicity. As a result, we have removed these treatments entirely.

Instead, the jacket now performs equally well through improved structural design — including reinforced shoulder areas and an increased weaving density specification. The result is dependable rain protection achieved purely through fabric engineering rather than chemical finishes.

Construction

The coat is made by us in England and is available in a selection of 20 colours. All seams are finished using a traditional French seam method — a more time-consuming but beautifully crafted technique that ensures strength, durability, and a clean interior finish.
