The Ventile M-65 is our natural-fibre take on one of the most iconic military field jackets ever designed. It keeps the purposeful, practical spirit of the original M-65 silhouette, but upgrades the cloth and construction to create a jacket that feels calmer, quieter and far more comfortable to live in.

The jacket is made from Ventile® — a remarkable, tightly woven 100% cotton fabric widely regarded as the finest natural outerwear cloth in the world. When exposed to rain, Ventile’s cotton fibres swell, closing the weave to form a natural barrier against wind and water while remaining breathable. The result is protection that feels very different to membrane-based waterproofs: less noisy, less clammy, and noticeably more comfortable over long wear.

Many “waterproof” jackets rely on plastic membranes that can compromise comfort and breathability. With Ventile, the performance comes from the weave itself — keeping you protected in wet weather while still allowing the body to breathe.

Made by Us in England

As with all English Utopia garments, the Ventile M-65 is cut and made by us in our own workshop in England. Please note: you can request your own modifications to any of our styles, as we design and manufacture everything ourselves — small adjustments to fit, length, pocket configuration, or details are often possible.
