The Eliot Khaki Cotton Travel Jacket is a refined, hard-wearing layer designed for everyday movement and warm-season travel. Clean in silhouette and practical in function, it offers the ease of a casual jacket with the considered cut and build quality of a tailored garment.

Cut from premium 2-ply cotton that we buy from Halley Stevensons of Scotland , the fabric is breathable, durable, and comfortable against the body — ideal for spring through early autumn, and for year-round use in warmer climates. The cotton develops character with wear, softening over time while retaining its structure.  This product is also available as a Ventile jacket for an  and can be upgraded at checkout. The difference between the beautiful 2 ply cotton that we use and Ventile is this. extra £250 (around $340). The Halley fabric is ever so slightly stiffer/rugged but don't read that as 'it is stiff' it isn't. We are simply comparing it with Ventile, which is ever so slightly with more drape, but again, not like a super soft, shirt cotton, more like a cotton raincoat handle. The Halley cotton in a rainstorm will keep you dry for an hour to 2 hours depending on intensity and the Ventile 2 - 4. 

Both will last for a very long time, easily 10 years. The Ventile one will probably edge the Halley over time because it has a longer staple yarn, but we are talking north of 20 years!
