The Ariel is a women’s loose-fit waxed cotton overcoat designed to combine excellent rain protection with natural breathability and real day-long comfort. Its relaxed, full-length silhouette is elevated by an elegant inverted back pleat, giving the coat a beautiful line and an effortless drape.

Practicality is built in, workwear-style: two generously sized front patch pockets carry everything you need on a walk, and there’s also a large internal lining pocket, positioned slightly lower so it won’t disrupt the clean line across the chest.

Fabric & Build

The Ariel is made from 2-ply waxed cotton with a 2-ply cotton lining, both supplied by Halley Stevensons (Scotland). The result is a coat that feels calm and natural to wear — protective in rain, breathable in motion, and increasingly characterful as it ages.

Choose from a wide selection of colour options for both the outer and lining to make the Ariel completely your own. If you’d like a specific finished length, you’re welcome to specify it when ordering.

Warmth Upgrades

If you want to turn the Ariel into an exceptionally warm winter coat, you can add insulation at checkout:

• Pure goosedown insulation (warmth capability down to –25°C)
• Lavalan merino wool insulation (a slightly lighter natural alternative)
